[问题] cannot install Win 2k

Hi,

I'm assembling an entry level PC with a used hard drive.

I install Win 2k pro on it, first the hd was formated with win 2k, then win 2k copied some files on it and reboot.

After reboot the pc just stopped there, blinking on a black screen. I tried several times, still got the same problem.

Is the old hd drive problem?

换别的盘试验，或者别的系统，也许是你的安装盘有问题。不过，也要检查内存和cpu散热。

你是用什么方式format的硬盘?NTFS OR FAT???可以试试把硬盘分区都删掉，重新来过。

The RAM and CPU are new, and the problem happens every time the installation asks for reboot. I set the boot sequence is CD then hd, because I have to install windows from CD.

So I doubt it's RAM or CPU problem because if it is so, it will be interruted in the middle of the process and not in the same step as I said.

I format the hd in FAT. Now I use fdisk to re-partition it. and I'll try late to install again.
