The Unix Developer will maintain and upgrade the production environment, in coordination with the members of the client development team. This includes coding changes to the existing environment as well as adding new functionality.
This position is based in our Toronto market data technology center, as part of a growing team of developers and operational support experts dedicated to supporting, expanding, and creating innovation around our clients’ market data and reference data environment. This is a great opportunity to get deep exposure to the capital markets industry, financial products and pricing, and the world of investment banking.
Some travel may be required for training.
Qualifications:
# 3+ years of object-oriented programming experience in a UNIX environment
# 3+ years of C++ or Java programming experience
# 2+ years of experience writing/tuning SQL
# 3+ years of scripting experience with Perl and/or Ksh
# XML, JSP, and web development experience an asset
# Familiarity with Financial Instruments and Products an asset
# Strong oral and written communication skills
# Strong teamwork skills
# Client facing experience
# Completion of a technology focused college diploma or post-graduate technology program
