要价是$118,900不知是否合适?

In my experince, the rule is that house price = property tax / 1.5%. In your case, $1741/1.5%= $116,900, so I think the price ($118,900) of your house should be reasonable. The buyer couls give you a little lower offer.

It depends on the age and condition if the house is easier to be sold. How much will the buyer pay for fixing some problems? If your house is in a good condition, I suggest you ask $120,000 at first.

Brockville is on 401 Highway exit 696. It is 100km from Ottawa.

I've never heard of this rule before. I did a quick scan of recent listings on grapevine, this rule is so far off that it doesn't apply to ANY house listings I found in the Kanata area. :lookaroun

My friend said the property tax would be the price of your house * 1.5%, so I think the property tax should be a reference. It may depend on the different areas or the age of the house?
