I called a couple of travel agencies, it seems that it's better to book tickets from China, cheaper and seats are garanteed. If you were to buy tickets from Canada, the price would be $1580 round trip, one year open ticket.

Sorry I don't know either, I called agencies in Ottawa only. I'm in search of one as well, but it seems there are tons available out there.
