help（HUB，router问题）

问一个弱智问题。我们用ROGERS CABLE上网，有一台台式机和一台笔记本，还有一个HUB，初安装时是用台式机的。现在想通过HUB让两台机子都能上网，但是笔记本怎么都通不了。有人说HUB不行要买个ROUTER，请问大虾是这样吗？

Router: A device that forwards data packets along networks. A router is connected to at least two networks, commonly two LANs or WANs or a LAN and its ISP? network. Routers are located at gateways, the places where two or more networks connect.



HUb:A common connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.

hub没有路由功能

最主要是rogers的cable只能提供一个IP地址, 不想dsl可以同时提供几个IP. 所以你需要一个路由器来做地址转换

或者你再去买张台式机的 网卡 共享上网 但这样不划算 还是买个ROUTER

但我还有一种方法，就是没有试。用USB连接到Hi-speed，然后通过HUB连接两台计算机共享。
