Centre air conditioner

I am planning to put a ceter air conditioner and did some search and still few questions to ask:
.Puron or Freon refrigerant
.So many brands on the market and which brands provide best performance yet reasonable cost.
.do I need two speed (phase) control conditioner?
.Compressor type should go with scroll or recircitor?
.Any one here is looking for installing air conditioner too?
