Xterra: yes this is taken when I water my lawn. Shot at f2.8 1/3200s.

Spotmeter them, then you will figured out how many stops you should use, it's kind of easy, man.

But what do you do when you don't have a spot meter ?

you told me you have a digi slr, right?
for myself, my build-in spot meter worked as a back up, whole camera normaly as a dark box,pure manuly.
so, 35-67-45-810,no difference, technicially.
