This is going to be a long term contract 6 months with good possibility to go even longer.
This is in Plano, TX.
We are looking to keep the rate around $45/hr on C2C.
Core Competencies:
* Experienced to an advanced user level in UNIX (HPUX) and AIX ? 3yrs min.
* Experienced at providing systems administration in a similar Managed Services environment.
* Experienced with extensive scripting
* Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written).
Detailed Description of Assignment Duties: (Describe consultant’s role)
Unix Engineer to work with project design and deployment of UNIX Security System upgrades. Required technical skills include system administration, writing utility scripts, running database queries, troubleshooting technical problems, and defining and designing solutions for Unix Security upgrades.
Specific requirements:
* Strong working knowledge of IBM AIX and HPUX operating systems and hardware.
* Implementation of hardware and software maintenance.
* Develop and execute scripts and other UNIX utilities
* Define and configure hardware and software components as necessary to support UNIX Security project initiatives.
* Ability to work as part of a team, strong customer support and communications skills.
* Skills in AIX, HPUX, scripting.
* System administration
* Close ports
* Korn shell scripts
* Perl coding
* User provisioning
* Unix monitoring and patching
* Excellent understanding of the Unix operating system and how to properly maintain it has high performance environment
* Provide infrastructure support of all tools with UNIX (compilers, debuggers, software distribution software, monitors, vulnerability scanners, etc.)
* Install and maintain the high availability tools and scripts.
* Maintain the servers in accordance to site security standards.
Install and upgrade UNIX on all new and existing server components.
