Ottawa police this afternoon released a description and photo of a man sought in connection with the brutal gun slayings of two Chinese students in a downtown karaoke house a week ago.
Police have issued a nationwide warrant and alert for the arrest of Fu Kwok Wei, 27. He is a native of Vancouver, B.C., but police say at this point they have no idea of his whereabouts. He is wanted for the murders of Tailang Lu and Linhai Tian at the Full House karaoke cafe on Somerset St. early on the morning of Dec. 6.
The weapon involved in the shootings has not been recovered. The two men were slain following an altercation in the cafe.
Police say Wei is known to travel extensively. He is also known by his street name, Jackie Wei.
Although officers have been able to interview friends and associates of Wei, they have not been able to find him. He is considered armed and dangerous and if seen, police say you should not approach him, but immediately call police.
