渥太华机场的一幕。。。

飞机徐徐降落在渥京机场，几个小时的飞行， 终于到家了。 随着人群走出机舱，过边检， 等行李， 同期到达的有三个国际航班， 人有些多， 不过还是顺利， 拖着行李出海关， 海关官员看了一下我的海关申报单， 示意我站到一边， 这时我才意识到我被抽检了（其实过边境时， 我的申报单就被划勾了，要接受检查，自己那时没注意）， 当时心里还想， 这么多人都大摇大摆出关了， 等会儿一定要去买6/49。

回到海关检查小间，已经有一对亚裔模样的男子在接受检查， 箱子被打开， 里面的东西被翻得乱七八糟， 关员一边一件件地翻找， 一边表情严肃地询问那俩位。这时我的心里已经不是那么的舒服了， 注意到他们和我一样是蓝皮护照。 接下来我的箱子被打开， 正在这时又进来一位女孩， 中国人模样， 也被抽查到了， 现在我才注意到三个通道都是亚裔，没有其他人，脑子里立马蹦出一个英文单词 stereotyping来, 这应该不是巧合。

结果自然是没查出什么问题， 重新打包好翻得乱七八糟的行李箱， 走出大厅， 心里有些不快和无奈， 刚才经历得对于海关来说是一道合理合法的程序， 但自己总觉得吃了苍蝇似的不舒服。一阵冷风吹来， 打了个寒颤， 意识到这儿还是冰天雪地，想到还有几个小时就进入新的一年了，让这些不快都留在2005吧。。。


附：现在已经是2006， 心情确实好多了， 写下这些， 有人可能觉得是小事
一桩，其实关于少数族裔对渥太华机场stereotyping的抱怨以前在公民报也读到相关文章，个中滋味估计只有身临其境才能体会。联想到大选将至， 作为一名少数裔，我知道自己更care的是什么。

心里不爽,可以理解.但是不是歧视,还要看查出问题的比率,如果亚裔历来出问题的比率很少,还大量抽查那才是歧视.否则的话,重点人群,重点抽查,我当海关官员也这样做,管它是什么族呢!

when i was flying into ottawa this october, from london heathew, england, i was still holding an Chinese passport then. lucky me, got chozen for a third time , within 2 years. i gave that inspecter heck, why? cuz he was mean. he asks me even irrevalant questions. like do you have a bf in england? clenching my teeth i said NO, but boy i was really mad. not to mention he searched everything in my luggage including the letters and stuff. a lot of private things too. at the very beginning, he was gonig on and on about what i purchased in england, do i have the receipts. I say no, it's small value itmes, i don't have them. he's like Oh waht if I find somethign that doens't match yoru claimed items. I was like "do what u please". after all this, he didn't even say thank you.my last sentence to him was, "you know after all these inconvenience and wrong accusation and presumptions, u might consider saying at least A THANK YOU".

很同情你的遭遇，持中国护照的兔子们在全世界范围内，这样的待遇比较普遍，可能和每年有大批中国大陆的兔子们，偷渡到西方国家有关。

加拿大的警察懒而且笨，我真的不相信他们仅仅是因为种族歧视而浪费自己喝咖啡的时间来歧视你。

我认识一人，当年就拿着中国护照去美国开会，在海关被要求开箱检查，当时是夏天，结果在箱子里发现很多日常冬装，并且还有很多长期生活用品，当时就被扣了。

about the purchase receipts, I can understand, they don't want u to smuggle valuables that you are not claiming to have in your luaggage.
as of the bf, I guess he suspect my trip's purpose? Not sure, but stilll it's damn annoying. and that's exactly why I couldn't hold it and had a go at him.
