1885, 1903, 1923, 1947... It is the election of 2006!! Please dont use this "stale" issue of almost revengful nature as the burden on how most of us should vote for ourselves NOW. What's next? How about we force the gov to payback the minimum salary who owned to Chinese who built Pacific Railway with 10% annual compound interest? Would the chinese community here be better off? Stronger or more respected?
We don't have much time and syndicated effort here. Please use them wisely and concentrate on forward-facing issues like visible minority rights/benefit, immigration poicy and settlement services, not backwards revenges from 1923. (if you are really into history of justice, go help the natives... I am not kidding... they are the ones who really got F**K year after year... generations after generations)
Do you think Neo-con "Consertive Party" of Alberta would do better? NDP is never a choice. You vote NDP might as well vote PC directly this time. Emotion aside, the fact is that majority of Chinese here either born or came long after this shameful event and will NOT benefit from any of these. Giving back those head tax and fully applogize. So what? Whould that make visible minority rights/benefit, immigration poicy and settlement services better for Chinese moving forward in long run?
Looking at their policy and face future. And think carefully who to strategically choose for the betterment of Chinese community or intended immigrants.
