If you get a power of attorny and have your lawyer register it in court, your lawyer can use that document to register the deed in both your names. Ask your lawyer to draft you a standard power of attorny and mail it back to your wife. She should sign it in front of two witness (that are not her direct family - this part I forgot. ask the lawyer to be sure.)
It can be done. I bought my house this way. You don't need to buy it first then add her name later. Just use a power of attorny.
