Please note that effective July 1, 2006, the rate of G.S.T. to be charged on taxable sales will be reduced from 7 percent to 6 percent. All departments currently charging G.S.T. for goods or services should adjust their systems accordingly.
The University rebate of 67 percent will remain unchanged as of July 1, therefore the net cost of G.S.T. will be reduced from 2.3 percent to 2.0 percent.
