Max EI payment

I heard the max EI payment per week is about $400 (ie. $1500 per month). Is it right? Also the money is before tax or after tax?

The money is before tax.
If your annual income is over 38K when you file your tax return, you need return the EI overpay as well.

The income is "my income" or "the whole family" income? Also do you know what's the max period (weeks) for regular EI + maternity EI + parental EI? Thanks, again!

The weekly max is #413 a week (before tax).
The repayment threshold is when your individual net income (after some deductions, e.g., RRSP, etc...) exceeds $48,750 ($39,000 x 1.25)
. But the repayment only apply to regular and fisher's benefits. Sickness, maternity, parental, compassionate care do not need to subject to repayment.

How long you can receive benefits? regular depending on the unemployment rate and how long you worked before. The maximum is 45 weeeks. Sickness 15 weeks, maternity=parental 50 weeks, compassionate 6 weeks.

1. What do you mean "repayment"?
2. I know the max weeks for every EI, but I want to know what the max weeks for regular+maternity+parental EI will be. Say if I start my EI now (I get 45 weeks max) and during the middle of my EI, I get pregnant, how many more weeks I can get for maternity+parental EI?
