A friend of mine had done the same thing several years ago.
He found a body shop close to Chinatown/Little Italy and paid $400-$500 for the paint job.
I asked him the paintshop's whereabouts but he couldn't remember where it is and he's not sure even it's still exist.
I've made some searches on bodyshops in that area and got a link for you.

Remember the price will be way different depend on if you want the bill paid by your insurance or yourself.
