Hi,
I am just forwarding on an invitation.
If you haven't gone to this event in the past, then you should come this year. It is such a blast that I think I have gone out 6 years in a row It is always on the first Saturday in December.
If you do plan on coming out, then take my advice and go with the
FULL SANTA GARB
Ho Ho Ho!!!! and a Merry Christmas!!!!

Well, I hate to see tradition die, and this one is 7 years old already -Therefore I have taken, with Lisa's help, the bold move to announce this year's Santa Claus pub crawl - a few edits to last year's e-mail has saved me all thought and planning resources that would have been required. Please forward this on to anyone who you think may still enjoy the "spirits" of the season.
For many years around Christmas time in Newcastle, Australia (and before it was banned) 6,000 people dressed as Santa, Santa's helpers, Reindeer, Elves, Presents, Xmas trees and all that is Christmas-like, walked (stumbled) and sang merry songs as they moved through the town from pub to pub in the holiday spirit. This colourful tradition was imported to Ottawa several years ago ( 7 to be precise) and it's time is upon us again :-
When : Saturday 7 th December 2002
Every year crawlers are encouraged to make a donation to a local children's charity - this year's beneficiary will be the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). If you would like to volunteer to carry a collection box for the evening and are willing to "motivate" crawlers and non-crawlers alike (there are lots of fine establishments to raid en route) to part with cash for this deserving cause, please reply.
Route and Times :
6.00 pm Duke of Somerset
7:15 Royal Oak
8.00 Bu lldog
8.30 Lieutenant's Pump
9.00 Elbow Room
9.30 MacLarens
10.15 Bytown Tavern
11.00 Chateau Lafayette
