Silicon wiper material
Choose silicon wiper material. It is softer, and better contact with the windshield. It is hard to tell what material the wiper use. I tried to read the label but most of them never tell. I assume those low price wiper use rubber, while more expansive use silicon material.
The RainX claims its wiper will not cause this effect, but it uses rubber. (rainx.com)
There is a workaround for this, assuming your wiper is new. Apply a layer of rain repealer, such as RainX, will immediately resolve it. However, this will last only 1 month.
All wipers sell in Canadian Tire are using rubber compound. None of them are using silicon compound. I suggest to check spare part shop.
Car Quest is knowledgeable in their product, while PartSource doesn't.
