I think it depends on the prof that you get....in my case i had a prof that just started teaching so she was super easy going, but I also have heard other students being given a hard time because they had more experienced / tough profs.
And also my advice, in the beginning of the term, the prof will ask the whole class to divide into 2 groups: try to be in the prof group but not in the TA group,and that'll help too.
