[问题] new painting on wood frame peeling off in a month

In March, We had our house painted by a contractor.
We noticed that the new painting on the wood frame has cracks.
I asked the contractor, his reply was:
"The cause is likely cold weather and or dampness
affecting the proper curing of the paint.
"
But it was not too cold and damp last month.
I don't know much about paint, my question is:
is it normal to have new paint peeling off so quickly? Am I entitled to ask him to fix it?

Only a few places: corners of kitchen window frame and patio door.
My guess is that the old paint at those places was dirty, but they didn't clean well and use prime before painting.
BTW, our house is 6 years old but the old paint was not peeling. They used good paint: Shewin Williams paint.

My guess is same as yours. It may be some oil on these places. The painter does not clean it well. You can ask them to redo these places. They should sand away or strip away the old paint, then repaint it. Now days unless painting bare wood or latex over oil, prime usually isn't needed.
