Both computer systems serve up some pretty good value. $700 is a good price for a 17" laptop, and the Compaq Presario in question features some good mid range hardware including a Core 2 Duo processor, and 2GB of RAM. The Acer PC bundle delivers a powerful quad core processor and a 20" LCD, so it can certainly hold its own. For gaming purposes though, an aftermarket video card upgrade would be quite necessary.
