Essential Functions:
This is a Technical Service Representative position based in Thetford Mines, Quebec that requires mainly end user support on a TCP/IP network and installations of Desktop/laptop computers for hardware and software. The incumbent will be the only on site representative, and will be expected to provide assistance and problem resolution to end users for all aspects of PC hardware/software, and some guided hands on assistance for network and NT server hardware. The successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week.
Essential Knowledge:
The successful candidate should have sound knowledge of Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP operating systems, TCP-IP and Network LAN topology, have the ability to support a broad variety of PC and related software/hardware problems(i.e. Lotus Notes, MS Office etc...) as well as being bilingual in English and French.
Essential Education:
Graduate of a computer/electronics program in College or University.
Essential Skills:
1. Possess demonstrated problem solving skills and able to provide creative solutions to problems as appropriate. 2. Utilize effective time management skills and demonstrate self-management skills. 3. Ability to provide remote problem resolution using remote communication tools. 4. Excellent telephone communication skills and ability to deal with customers. 5. Ability to communicate English and French.
Organizational "Fit" Considerations:
A highly motivated, self directed, team player, with the ability to follow defined processes. Location is in Thetford Mines, Quebec.
