A question about Canon camcorder

I have a Canon video camcorder(ELURA65). I have not used it for a while. When I used it today, I found it was zooming from W to T automatically, no stop. I had to hold the zoom button to make a normal video, otherwise the image was not clear at all. Could anyone know what the problem is? Is something wrongly set up or some parts damaged?

We need it badly for the coming trip to China. Please help.

唉！我和你有过相同经验。我的Elura 65也出现过相同故障，不过我是在保修期内出现的，在他们指定的Ottawa维修处免费维修的，修理人员一听我介绍就知道问题所在。日本人的电器产品质量神话早已破灭！我的Sony DSC的CCD也曾更换过。

建议：
1. 联系佳能： Canon Canada Inc. - Customer Support
2。 如果自己出维修费而且他们维修费很高的话，考虑回国修理。我刚刚在上海修了这个多灾多难机器的1394口。（仅仅等了1个小时，花费310元）
