First of all, you will never register in arena.

1. city of ottawa offers skating program - you should check the recreation guide and the closest to kanata is in pinecrest. But you have to register as soon as the program is available to register and register for both Fall and winter sessions.
2. canSkate
Offerred by various skating clubs, a little more expensive but better instruction I guess.
