I was also asked to sign W-8 form. I just sign it and print it.
I really don't know what W-8 is for.

The application is TOO complicated!!!

I hate it!

I remember for W-8. That is TOP DOWN menu.
From the first level, it asked you continuing with picking up
the form.

Then I just pick one.

W-8 Form for non-US cititzens or residents to avoid high rate of tax withholding. You, PR of Canada will be subjected to 30% tax withholding from US equities account if you don't file W-8 form.
