From drive test website for exchanging a recipical license, here is a statement below:

Applies to drivers from following jurisdications:
United States(applicants from Illinois, New jersay and Vermont must provide a driving abstract dated with 6 months)

What is the ducomont for "a driving abstract dated with 6 months"? Is the ducoment as a proof of driving experience?

Does anybody has the experice to get this type of ducomunt?

Any help you provide to me would be greatly appreciated.

如果你有小孩上中文学校, 周六上午到学校(OTTAWA 有好几所)看一看你就知道大家开什么车了.

I moved from Washington to Ontario last year and the process wasn't too bad. It does take some patience.

I did a quick google search, and you can order a driving record from Illinois DMV here:
Purchase of a Driving Record Abstract

The main thing is to show them you have at least 5 yrs of driving experience. If that is the case, they can give you the general license, if not, they can only give you a learner's permit which you need to renew/test in a year..

good luck..
