“渥太华小马友友” - 少年大提琴手程硕聪​

BRYAN CHENG, cello​

程硕聪(Bryan) 3岁半时开始接触大提琴，并立刻被它美妙声音所吸引。从那以来，他对大提琴的钟爱使他的大提琴学习一步一层楼，并显示出超乎寻常的天赋。尤其是师从大提琴家、蒙特利尔I Musici室内乐团创始人兼指挥, 大提琴家Yuli Turovsky以来，Bryan取得了傲人的成绩，多次同加拿大顶级乐团合作，并担任大提琴独奏。

今年一月，年仅10岁的Bryan就参加在国家艺术中心剧院(NAC Southam Hall)举办的5场“家庭音乐探密(Family Adventure)”和学生专场(Student Matinée)音乐会，由国家艺术中心乐团(National Arts Centre Orchestra)伴奏, 担任大提琴独奏。2007年10月，他参加“明日之星”四场音乐会，同蒙特利尔I Musici室内乐团(Chamber Orchestra I Musici de Montréal)合作演出并担任大提琴独奏。今年5月，Bryan在蒙特利尔著名的La Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur大教堂举办首创大提琴独奏音乐会。2007年7月，9岁的Bryan就应邀参加渥太华国际室内乐音乐节，并在“乐坛新星(Junior Rising Stars)”音乐会上进行独奏和室内乐表演。自五岁以来，Bryan在渥太华Kiwanis音乐节上多次荣获大奖，在2005年爱德蒙顿举办的全国音乐比赛，Bryan进入决赛并荣获大奖。从8岁到现在三年间，他一年一个台阶，分别获得Kiwanis音乐节的弦乐总决赛的初级，中级和高级组比赛三座冠军奖杯。今年九月，Bryan将在蒙特利尔艺术广场(Place des Arts)同著名的I Musici室内乐乐团合作演出。今年底，他还将同该团演出4场音乐会并担任大提琴独奏。

今年夏天，Bryan和有机会参加了由NAC音乐总监Pinchas Zukerman大师主持的“年青艺术家项目”的音乐研习暑期班，而且是其中最年青的学生，受到大师的青睐。

Bryan还积极参加各种慈善义演活动，其中包括2005年第一届“By Youth for Youth”慈善音乐会。Bryan目前是Bishop Hamilton School（BHS）的6年级学生。他喜爱各门功课，尤其热衷于体育课。在足球场上, 他是猛不可挡的前锋。在学校他还是BHS乐队的小号手和合唱团的团员。

At age 3 ½, Bryan discovered the sound of the cello and became instantly attracted to it. Since then he has been studying the cello and has appeared as soloist with top Canadian orchestras in various concert halls. In January 2008, at age 10, Bryan performed in five concerts with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in the NAC Southam Hall as part of the Family Adventure Series and Student Matinée concerts. Earlier, in October 2007, he appeared as soloist with chamber orchestra I Musici de Montréal in the "Stars of the Future" four-concert series. In May 2008, Bryan gave his first public solo recital at La Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur in Montréal. At age 9, Bryan was invited to perform, as both soloist and chamber musician, at the 2007 Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival’s “Junior Rising Stars” concert. Bryan has been a winner of numerous prizes, scholarships, and trophies at the Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival since the age of five. At seven, he performed in Edmonton as a national finalist at the 2005 Canadian Music Competition, where he was a prize and scholarship winner. At age 8, Bryan won the Kiwanis Festival’s Junior String Trophy, then the Intermediate Strings Trophy at age 9, and this year at age 10, he won the Senior Strings Trophy. On September 17, 2008, Bryan will be performing a world premiere piece for 6 celli and orchestra with I Musici at Place des Arts in Montréal. This coming November, he will be playing four concerts as soloist again with I Musici. In the summer of 2008, as the youngest participant, Bryan was invited to attend the Young Artist’s Program at the NAC Summer Music Institute under the direction of Pinchas Zukerman. Bryan has been invited to perform at many charity concerts, and including at the 2005 “By Youth for Youth” concert, where he was the youngest performer.
