喜欢音乐的朋友都知道，安德鲁·洛伊德·韦伯（Andrew Lloyd Webber）是世界音乐剧史上一个极其罕见的天才，曾名列《戏剧周刊》杂志编写的美国戏剧界最有影响力的100人之榜首。他创造了许多脍炙人口音乐剧，如《约瑟夫与神奇五彩衣》、《艾维塔》、《歌与舞》、《猫》、《星光快车》、《歌剧院的幽灵》、《日落大道》等，可以说，没有这些作品，现代歌剧和音乐剧的历史将要改写。

这次音乐会上，渥太华年青的女高音Gabrielle Lazarovitz 和男高音Ben Buchanan将合作演绎《歌剧院的幽灵》(Phantom Of The Opera) 中的著名片段“唯一所求All I ask of you” 。钢琴伴奏是Monique Nadeau。

Gabrielle，Ben和Monique均师从渥太华和多伦多地区著名声乐老师、卡尔顿大学客座声乐教授Yoriko Tanno-Kimmons。经过她科学而严格训练的学生,在本地、省级和全国的音乐比赛上屡获殊荣。大多数学生都顺利通过皇家音乐学院(RCM)的声乐考级，部分优秀学生被选送参加学校的年度歌剧新星汇演(Shooting Stars Operatic Showcase)，演唱世界著名歌剧大师作品。众多学生有机会参加渥太华地区著名的籁雅歌剧团(Opera Lyra Ottawa) 的演出，不少人毕业后迈上专业歌剧或音乐剧的生涯，出现在加拿大著名的多伦多、Charlottetown和 Stratford歌剧音乐节。有的还出现在美国百老汇的舞台。

BENJAMIN BUCHANAN 介绍

Ben has fallen in love with the art of singing and has appeared in a number of Ottawa competitions and performances, winning a number of awards and scholarships such as the Robert Van Dine award. He holds degrees in music and education. Having just left a banking career to focus on musical performance.

女高音Gabrielle Lazarovitz介绍

Gabrielle Lazarovitz has been a student of Yoriko Tanno Kimmons for thirteen years. She is now in her third year at Carleton University, majoring in music. Gabrielle has consistently won top prizes in the Kiwanis Music Festival, NATS, ORMTA, and CMC competitions. She has won trophies in musical theatre and classical singing and speech and drama as well as advancing to the provincial level in the Kiwanis and CMC competitions last year. Gabrielle spent a year in Toronto at the George Brown Theatre School and has had professional work as an actor appearing on television shows such as: Arthur, Mona the vampire, Little Lulu, Jim Button and many others. Gabrielle is currently studying under her phenomenal teachers: Yoriko Tanno Kimmons, Jose Hernandez, and Stewart Hamilton.

Monique Nadeau 介绍

Monique Nadeau has recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She studied with Stephane Lemelin during her years at university. She has been a Canadian Music Competition national finalist, Kiwanis Music Festival provincial finalist, and ORMTA winner. She has also performed at various Embassies in Ottawa and other community concerts. Monique is currently focusing on a singing career and studying with Yoriko Tanno-Kimmons and Jose Hernandez.
