政府工作

找政府工作，大家都有一个假设，政府工作稳定，不裁人。请问这个假设有多大的可能性？ 政府就没有才过人吗？

There was also a big cut plan in 1998-1999 year

Financial Minister Paul Martin then was planning a big cut in Ottawa during 1998 to 1999 fiscal year. However due to tech boom and more IT people were leaving public service, the plan was cancelled. Bascially, the turnover did the cut job. I happened to got the news by studying the Ottawa housing market history.

A couple of NRC institutes acrose Canada have been removed since the last year, I heard. Most people in these institutes lost their jobs.
