Furnace 不工作, 急! 请教高人

支持楼主， 我觉得男人就应该这样，能自己做的，绝对不请别人。 我们又不比别人少两只手，动不动就叫别人来也那个了点。 天冷的话，楼主可以先借个电暖气，等修好再还回去就行了

看了你的帖把我逗乐了。没想到真有人把男人啦，那个啦，看得这么重要。让一家老小不挨[FONT=FangSong_GB2312]冻[/FONT]，生活安全，是男人的首要责任。有些东西可以DIY，如铺硬木地板，车道花转。有些事，不是专业人士，最好别试，连碰都别碰。如安装汽车刹车闸，修煤气取暖灶（除非你在专业人士指导下干）。因为弄不好有生命危险。而且在加拿大许多事要有执照的人才能干。否则将来出问题，保险公司能拒绝付赔偿。

Here's some stories for you:
My gas dryer did not fire properly, the company came by and fixed the unit in 15 minutes by changing a $10 coil and the bill was $180 . Since then I search internet and ask question in the forum before DIY or calling for services.

The washer was failed few months ago, was not able to spin dry. Searching the internet pointed me to order repair kit from internet for $7. Got it fixed as soon as parts' rec'd. According to internet, I could be charged for couple hundred easily.

My hi-eff furnance die last year, the heating company asked for $1500 to fix it claiming defective module and fan motor. I did the same thing as hitony-asking for help. After one day of studying, I can confirm the failure was simple to fix, end up I replaced the fan myself and total material cost is $150.

As a man, should do the same thing what woman does, checking all the flyers, identify the low cost item to shop and do as much as we can.

DIY can be anything! Don't be scared about the complexity, by the time you know about it, it's simple. Of course, you also need to know, anything related with gas fittings, pipes, you will need lic tech to do it.

But if you can pin-point the failures, you can tell whether the heating company is honest to you or not! In fact, if you can pin-point the problem, in most of the case, they will not over price the services as they respect your knowledge!

I basically agree. I'd try to fix brakes if I knew how to as it is much simple. I could try to fix a lighting problem too. But I'd never, never touch that gas oven or furnace (except to clean them up inside out).

再次感谢各位的热心帮助, 特别是iiwii, 你的详细解答让我以为阁下是干这一行的专家. 在下的收获至少包括已经全面了解了Furnace的基本原理, 知道故障后也就对修理费用有个数.不用花钱请人来, 到最后决定不修换新的. 今天打电话问, 配件可能是360或者600多(两者之一), 人工每小时90. 故痛下决心决定换新的, 大约3500到4500.旧的已经有21年了. 真是佩服前房主的运气和维护水平, 从去年11月接手后中央吸尘器, 车库自动门和Furnace接连出问题..

各位DIY的观点和请专家安全第一的观点都有道理, iiwii的观点总结得很好, 佩服!.

新的是节能型的，基本就是那个价格。用你的话说，以后可以在煤气费上省回很多钞票。

对了，听说换节能型的新锅炉，政府有补贴。请楼主留意。有什么信息，回头告诉大家。

Suggest you to go to Costco or Home Depot for a price and then check with other dealers like harding, francise. Costco and home depot will give you a fair market price as the negotiation starting point.

By the way, did you measure the coil resistance?

Thanks for your suggestion again, coil resistance is 5, I measureed it without disconnecting any wires.

agree with lungo, please make sure that you do a eco audit before the replacement.
the rebates for a hi-eff furnace are: 500 from federal govern, 500 from ON govern, 115 from Enbridge, 300 from Ont Power Corp
your cost: 300-350 for 1st visit, 150 for 2nd (refunded by ON govern)

In fact, I got a better 3/4 HP motor about $150+tax, the original uses sleeve bearing and the new one is ball bearing. It was easy to do, as long as you label all the wires.

Sounds interesting, did you try to apply 24V to it to see if the solenoid works?
just wonder if the frame sensor/pilot shuts the circuit off...

再次应用以前的测量结果.
[ 我又重新测量了一次, 在PIC1, 温控器设定21C, 室内温度17C, 有火苗pilot, A和C之间电压交流0V. D和C之间电压交流26V. A和D之间电压交流26V..在PIC1, 温控器设定13C, 室内温度17C, 有火苗pilot, A和C之间电压交流26V. D和C之间电压交流26V. A和D之间电压交流0V.

当温控器设定温度大于室内温度时, coil线圈的电压是26v, 按理应该开启气体阀门点燃主火至少一会, 但是一直没有, pilot倒是一直燃着.
if the frame sensor/pilot shuts the circuit off, 我该怎么判断, 如果是那样, 我该如何维修? 谢谢!
