Job Description:
The Software Developers will be responsible for the design, testing, and documentation of Thales software products.
The Software Developers will be responsible for the development activities:
Qualifications:
The successful candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, combined with a minimum of six months demonstrated experience (co-op and summer employment included) in a commercial software product development environment. The candidate must have experience or knowledge in all stages and aspects of software product development.
Proven experience in a high-level programming language such as C#, VB.NET, or Java is required, along with an understanding of software requirements analysis, software architecture, design and testing methodologies. A preference will be given to candidates with experience with ArcGIS or other GIS software. Domain knowledge of Land and Joint Command and Control systems is considered an asset.
The successful incumbents must be able to obtain a security clearance to the NATO Secret level and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program.

- Team with software developers, architects, and testers to build and support new product releases;
- Identify and define customer requirements and translate them into conceptual designs;
- Capture and define practices for using Thales software in various developer scenarios;
- Enhance product quality by developing and executing software QA plans;
- Produce developer documentation, including functional overviews, API documentation, code samples and best practices;
- Provide developer support to key Thales customers;
- Identify software defects and prioritize their fixes into product releases; and
- Plan for future releases
