Pay cheque from Auto Insurance company

I had an accident and it was other party's fault. My insurance company "Monnex" sent me a cheque with my name and body shop's name for my car repairement. Can I cash the cheque and don't go to repaire my car? Will I have problem if I just get money the cheque and not to repaire my car? Thanks
