屋顶加高的问题

家里房子要装修，想把屋顶也加高(仅加高），不知道需不需要申请perment. 如果需要申请，该如何申请。现在房子高度大约2米高，想加到3米-4米之间。有没有好的公司可以推荐，最好标明价格。先谢谢大家

You almost double the height, It bascially redo the roof. I would simply add another floor.
You would need city permit, call 311 to ask. And I believe you would have to ask your neighbour too.

as a general rule , it is about 150 per square feet.

I can help you check the Zoning By-law. The max height is regulated in the Residential Zoning By-laws.

you need structural engineer, by-law inspection and building permit for sure.

如果不加楼层只加高房顶，是不是整个重做房顶，弄成cathdral ceiling效果相似，麻烦省很多？
