情人节快到了,朋友想让我帮他买点巧克力寄回国内送他女朋友.我不知道向食品之类的东西能寄吗?

Yes you can. I have done a few times.
Go to Canada Post site to check for package size and weight requirement. The "small package" is less than 1kg with total length (length+width+high) < 90cm. Anything over that limit, you pay more than double the postage
