Needing Recommendation for Short-Term Cell Phone Package Used in China

It's better if I can just rent a cell phone and pay for such a package as long as I can call within China and overseas (call Canada from China).

Where or which company offers such a deal and how much will it cost?

You can buy a card with desired amount of money, and it comes with a SIM card. Once the amount is all used, you can refill it if necessary.

回国买神州行充值卡(prepaid sim card).加拿大叫pay as you go
不知道国内可以用skype不, 短期的话 办个加美包月才3-4刀 随便打
在国内用手机给加拿大打实在没必要

If your phone has a sim card, you can bring it to China and just buy any prepaid card there. Make sure your phone has been modified to be used in Asia -- you can have that done for probably $20-$30 at a Chinese phone shop.
