多找几个牙医看看，报价差很大。我自己的经历：第一个要价8000，第二个不到4000。当然，两人治疗方案不一样。

I've received quite a few qqhs. Let me try to answer all here before my boss gets mad at me.
I am not a dentist and my field is not anywhere near health science. So really, the best person to discuss the treatment with is your general dentist. -- It's their job to raise concerns and to provide lead for treatment.
All the information I have is based on my own case, which is considered minor. At the end, I may have to remove one tooth, "but only later on in the treatment, once initial expansiion has been achieved". Whether you/your kid need to have the teeth removed, again, it's case by case.
One USA trained dentist and one europe trained orthodontist told me the same thing: "Good orthodontists will never try to remove the tooth right away." ( but if all the orthodontists you've seen think removal is not an optional, then probably you'll have to loose some teeth. Common sense, right?)
I always ask my general dentist's opinion. Advise you to do the same.

价格差距大跟treatment plan有关吧。一个plan是要拔掉4个牙，耗时2年；另一个则不准备拔牙，估计13-14个月完成。这完全是自己的取舍了。特别是小孩子。
跟general dentist讨论过这个问题. 他的回答是" Remember, end of the day, it's your teeth and your decision。对我来说，I am not comfortable to get ride of 4 good teech, 就选了第二个方案.
不管怎么说，多看几个orthodontists 是对的。打个比方，你花七八千块钱买辆车还要多看几家呢！

我看过的general dentist 和 orthodontists 都说最佳时间是12-13岁，在此之前牙齿都没有定型。
