Watson 36%, O'Brien 17% in New Poll

A new public opinion survey finds Jim Watson is in the drivers' seat for the keys to City Hall.
Three weeks before Ottawa residents cast ballots in the municipal election, a Holinshed Research Group poll shows Watson has the support of 36 per cent of respondents in the race for Mayor of Ottawa.
Mayor Larry O'Brien has the backing of 17 per cent of respondents, compared with 8 per cent for Andy Haydon and 6 per cent for Clive Doucet.
The survey finds 30 per cent of respondents are undecided on who they would vote for on October 25th.
The Holinshed survey finds 64 per cent of respondents believe it is time to elect a new Mayor and O'Brien has done a poor job. The poll shows 23 per cent of respondents say O'Brien has done a good job and deserves a second term.
The survey of 396 residents is considered accurate to within plus/minus 4.92 per cent 19 times out of 20.
