StakeachanceZ has a good point about big corporate has better customer service. For those who are unlucky and need to call Rogers, or Bell, they are always someone to answer within 10 min of waiting in the queue.
Let's put a price to customer support by comparing with Acanac (or any ADSL), you will see the "fast customer support" is very costly
Assume 1 yr contract, 200 GB/month usage, call customer support 2 times/year
Acanac
Speed: 5 mbps/800 kps
$24.95/month $299.40/year
Bandwidth: Unlimited
Rogers
Speed: 10 mbps/512 kbps
$46.99/month $563.88/year
Bandwidth: 60 GB/month + $2/GB/month which is $280/month
So, 1 year usage
Anacac: $24.95/month $299.40/year
Rogers: $326.99/month $3,923.88/year
Even if the bandwitdh is 100 GB/month
Rogers: $126.99/month $1,523.88/year
Please note that Rogers' upload speed is 512 kbps instead of 800 kbps, but it win at the download speed which is double.
If not signup for 1 year contract, Acanac price is $39.95/month, which is still cheaper than Rogers considering the bandwidth charge
So finally my question to everyone will be... how much is the customer support from Rogers or Bell. That is $2,400 / 2 calls = $1,200/call
It is more than your car repair bill, bed, refrigerator, stove, 9 months car patrol, or can even buy 6 years old Honda Civic in 10 years.
