How Can I Prepare the Government writing exam

I got a government job opportunity. I have to pass the writing exame for the EC-03. Is there someone had the experiences for the wirting exam. please advise.

这个EC3能涉及的范围可太大了，好多工作性质都属于EC的。根据这个EC-03只能看出这是一个可能需要有一些工作经验（比如一年两年）的相对初级的工作，不需要太精通，但也不能一点不懂。

They usually send you the instruction on the scope of your exam. Depending on the level and the department, they might ask you to demonstrate your knowledge about the relevant policies, especially the ones from the Treasury Board and those relevant to the nature of the work; the government decision making process as well as the current challenges and priorities; then it should be your writing communication skills - this could be anything, a briefing note, report, case analysis etc. - for this you will have to work on your English, use simple sentences, the less errors the better.

楼上JIEJIE说的好，你应该收到考试范围的信息，如果你没收到，也可以问人事部的人询问。然后就是根据你那个工作职位的POST，上面要求的是什么去研究，一个一个的对着考试范围的东东去靠。FINANCIAL ANALYST，FAA总是要知道的。如果是PUBLIC COMPETITION，可能对政府内部的PROCESS相对要求少些。不过这些都是猜测而已，要看你的JOB POST和你考试的说明。这种类型的工作写作能力几乎是必考的。

I also got the invitation for the written exam EC-03 from Statistics Canada. From the email, I believe there will be many candidates...I am still hesitating if I should go for the exam...the salary range is low for EC-03, will be 30% lower than my current job. good luck!

You really need to improve your English. I am kinda of worried about your writing. A written examination is administered to test your ability to communicate effectively in writing.
