Police have charged a Toronto woman's son and his wife after the woman was discovered unconscious and suffering from frostbite in the uninsulated garage where she had been forced to live since last November.
The only heat came from a vent from the attached house where her son and daughter-in-law reside.
Now, the 68-year-old woman lies in a hospital bed in life-threatening condition after paramedics discovered her plight last Wednesday.

房子小，也应该让老人家住得舒适些，这才是中国人的尊老敬老之道。为何就不能调过来，年轻的住Basement呢？

老年人一般都会将自己最好的让给儿女，做儿女的也应该懂得如何感恩。让老年人住Basement是说不过去的。除非这Basement和楼上的没两样，或者更方便。
