秀下JATOBA地板

村长懂地板呀?我们家以前买的地板好象是7-8块/SF的OAK,不过是铺完了才上漆的,我们当时也不懂,这和已经上完漆的有区别吗?而且颜色可以自己选,因为地板本来就是木头原色的.:blowzy:

Oak那么一般的木料，$7-8也太贵了吧。加安装费，再加税，那可是顶级价钱了。

当时看看专业地板店都挺贵的呀.:blowzy:不过好象是包括了安装费了.
也可能是MAPLE的,记不清楚了

The wood showed there is in its nature color, prefinished. No stains. Just top 7-8 layers of finishes.
Yours are site finished, normally the wood is a little cheaper but the installation is a little expensive. Very massy during installation since it needs lots of sanding -- dust

Site finished: 清漆 need professional to do it properly
Pre finished: top layer 二氧化铝 you can dyi

这是LAMINATE还是HARDWOOD？ 安装费多少$/ SQFT 阿？

I know some Ottawa floor store offer $1.5/sqft for installation if you buy from them

这种颜色地板Casino附近的Reno Depot有卖。有兴趣的可以去那里看下。我今天刚看到。我不太清楚是否是同一种材质，但是颜色和名字是一样的。

为什么不选和楼梯扶手一样颜色的地板呢？

the question for me is, why not choose the color for 楼梯扶手 same as the floor color. it will be very expensive to get jatoba staircase if it is available. so we just choose a standard color from builder which is close to reddish color. and i did see a lot of model house and pictures of darker color staircase with a little light floor, not bad at all. and when jatoba color settles, the difference will become little.
