These are no longer a part of the distant future. These scenarios are starting to happen now, through the convergence of machines and intelligent data in what is called the Industrial Internet. The Industrial Internet will transform industry through intelligent, interconnected objects that dramatically improve performance, lower operating costs and increase reliability.

Ottawa 4.0 – The New Strategic Plan from Invest Ottawa

Welcome to 2018, and to what we expect will be another strong year of progress and growth for the Ottawa technology sector. That is certainly what we at Wesley Clover are hard at work on as we race toward the second month of this new year already. And it is what Michael Tremblay, President and CEO of Invest Ottawa, will be with us to speak about at the first TechTuesday of 2018, on February 6th.

Michael and his team design and deliver economic development programs and initiatives that increase entrepreneurial momentum, wealth and jobs in the City of Ottawa and its surrounding region. Their goal is to make Ottawa the most innovative City in Canada. To achieve that goal, the team has spent considerable effort developing a new 5-year Strategic Plan. Michael gave us a sneak-peak at TechTuesday last October, and he will be back to provide much more detail this time around.

As a key member of the Ottawa technology ecosystem, we look forward to learning about and supporting this new Invest Ottawa plan, as it will no doubt bring benefit across our sector. We hope you can be there to learn along with us.
