多伦多数百名非法难民搬家 从学生宿舍迁入酒店

在多伦多市，现暂居在大学宿舍里的数百名寻求庇护的人将搬出宿舍，搬进大多伦多地区的不同酒店。

加拿大广播公司报道说，联邦政府已经同意，将为大约 450 名寻求庇护者支付住酒店的钱。

这些家庭自 5 月底以来就一直住在 Centennial College 和 Humber College 的学生宿舍里，现在学生们即将返校，这些难民申请者必须在 8 月 9 日之前搬走，以便让学生们住进来。

加拿大移民、难民和公民部在发给加拿大广播公司多伦多的一封电子邮件称，政府已经在密西沙加市、万锦市和 Etobicoke 市为这 450人预订了酒店.

星期二(7月31日)，在 Centennial College 的宿舍外面，可以看到寻求庇护者及其子女们进出大楼，但保安人员不让加拿大广播公司的记者与这些人交谈。

上周日，在万锦市出现了反对难民申请者被安置此地的示威活动，抗议者们举着标语牌子，反对把难民申请者临时安置在万锦市，有些人还说星期三(8月1日)将在市政大楼外散发请愿书。

当地政府表示，“正在监控有关情况”。

联邦说付到 9月30日

加拿大联邦政府同意为这些难民申请者支付酒店客房的费用，一直付到 9 月 30 日。

但是，与难民申请人打交道的一些组织表示，这样的安排很短见，对这些人的安置将远远超出秋季。

多伦多 FCJ 难民中心的联合主任 Loly Rico 说，难民申请人的问题不会消失，联邦政府和市政府都很短见。

安大略省负责移民事务的部长 Lisa MacLeod 对此表示同意。

她说，除非联邦政府能快速处理这些人的申请，否则时间可能会超过2年。

安省移民部长要求联邦政府支付由寻求庇护者引发的全部费用，她要求联邦为此向多伦多市支付 7400 万加元，向渥太华市支付 1100 万加元。

The 800 migrants, mostly illegal border crossers who have self-deported from the United States, are currently residing in empty dorm rooms at Toronto area universities, however, as the summer ends, the dorms need to be vacated to make room for tuition paying students.



I have a stack of access to information documents that detail what happened when Syrian migrants were put up in hotels as a stopgap measure when Justin Trudeau flooded Canada's refugee system with 50,000 Syrian migrants.

He wanted to keep his refugee-rush campaign promise but, the logistics of taking care of the refugees escaped Trudeau, and the result was mayhem for the hotels involved.

This has been a huge investigation, and it’s going to take several reports to unpack it.

Today, I’m bringing you details about the physical damage and destruction done by the refugees to the hotels that took them in.

One hotel complained of refugees urinating in the lobby. Another complained that a fire was started in one of the rooms, and yet another complained that microwaves were stolen and furniture was smashed.

Worse still, two separate hotels complained that the Bibles were being destroyed.

It’s shocking. In my story, I’ll show you the emails documenting all this and more as part of my ongoing investigation into the behaviour of the Syrians while they were housed in in government contracted hotels in the days after they first came to Canada
