Some observers see parallels between the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines flight and the Oct. 29 Lion Air crash. Both planes were new Boeing’s Max 8s that crashed shortly after takeoff. Both also struggled to gain altitude and appeared to ascend and descend several times before crashing shortly after takeoff.

But experts say it is too early to determine whether the same malfunctioning sensor coupled with an automated response from the aircraft’s software that stymied the pilots’ ability to control the Lion Air flight contributed to the downing of the Ethiopian Airlines plane. Investigators have not determined a final cause of the Lion Air crash.

不管怎么说 波音不把这个飞机停下来完全说不过去。

用后门的理由劝阻华为进入本国及他国市场；
用恐怖主义和罪犯的理由阻挡移民建墙；
我虽然支持川普的政策但是他的实际证据并不扎实。

但你波音737半年内直接干掉三四百个人， 居然还不全球停飞， 这说得过去么， 这不是双标么？ 波音必须要完全负起这个责任， 否则波音自己才是恐怖分子

Canadian Transport Minister Marc Garneau said yesterday it would be premature to speculate about the cause of the accident and that his department is working with the American Federal Aviation Administration to determine if action is required. Boeing said late Monday the FAA has told the U.S.-based aircraft manufacturer it must install safety-related software updates to the 737 Max 8s.

Air Canada and WestJet did not respond immediately to requests for comment on waiving of cancellation and flight-change fees.

Sunwing Airlines says it is "temporarily" suspending flights of its four Boeing 737 Max 8 planes.

A Max 8 was the plane involved in a deadly crash in Ethiopia last weekend that cost the lives of 157 people, including 18 Canadians.

Sunwing, which specializes in travel between Canada and destinations in Central and South America, said the decision to suspend the use of the Max 8 was not related to safety and was instead about "evolving commercial reasons" such as airspace restrictions imposed by some destinations.

我以小人之心猜测：波音知道设计缺陷，不能公布，否则影响销量。所以蔫儿溜儿在飞机上藏了个软件，即不告诉航空公司，也不给飞行员训练，想蒙混过关，谁想到软件杀人了。

这种新东西必须要让飞行员模拟它，反复练习，熟悉它的特点。这种人命关天的大事，我一个外行都能想到，难道大公司不知道怎么做？
