今天联邦政府公布的:

To fill the gaps in gear before local manufacturers are ready to deliver products, Public Services and Procurement Canada is “aggressively” buying medical equipment in bulk from all available suppliers and distributors, PSPC Minister Anita Anand said.

It has ordered more than 157.5 million surgical masks, including more than 60.9 million N95 masks, millions of COVID-19 tests and 1,570 ventilators, Anand said, adding that Ottawa is working to secure an additional 4,000 ventilators, maybe more. Mask delivery will begin this week.

The federal government also signed letters of intent with five additional companies to ensure local supply as demand is expected to grow as more Canadians require treatment for COVID-19.
