how many hours driving lessons

My kid wants to learn driving , can someone kindly tell me: normally it takes how many hours road driving lessons before taking the driving test.

better to have more. Help him practice as much as possible until s/he is comfortable with the car. Money is a small thing here. Safety is much more important. I will be very scared when my kid starts to drive after s/he spends 20 driving hours and passes the driving test.

我家刚有个一次考过的案例。
我觉得决定性因素有两个：一个是自己家的车的驾驶频繁程度－－最好家里有个能陪练的家长，每天能开至少一个小时，周末加时，在空旷的shopping mall parking lot里练入位出位等等。（我们家备考前后将近一个月，基本是要开到把车摸出感觉了，上路绝对不忙乱不紧张了。）
然后就是下一步，考车前请一位能很好沟通的教练，考前紧锣密鼓的上几次课，前两节课是让师傅看有没有重点要加强的科目，回家猛练（俺家的有时忘是打灯和平行趴车）。后两节课是考试路线备战。其实俺家总共上了四次课，师傅认为可以考了就肯定差不远了，不过，一次过还真有很多的运气在里面。（当然还要感谢师傅指导得好，再次感谢他九叔，俺也不怕人家说咱给李教练打广告，谁让咱家孩子新手一次过了呢，呵呵。）
