发电机

[半夜听歌]

今天停了一小会电，　想着有个发电机还是很管用的，　就是安装比较麻烦，　有人做过吗？　有什么型号可以推荐，　主要让furnace跑起来就好。　谢谢。

我觉得如果只是为了停一小会儿电，就准备发电机，没有必要。在城市里住，很少停电的，而且就算停电，也不会很长时间。发电机不是很容易维护的。

you could use your car. You could buy a converter(canadian tire) It would convert the power from your car's cigarette lighter plug to 110v. It would provide about 120w power, enough for a lamp, a laptop and a cellphone.

据说９８年有一次冰雨停电挺久的。

也是因为怕麻烦一直没有考虑，　但是想想在这里的冬天一旦停电还真有点难熬。

Thanks for the idea. I think the top priority is heating, which really needs a proper generator. Just too much hassle I guess.

I don't know about your house. I have a gas fireplace at family room. It would run without electricity. Where are you live. If you live inside the city. total blackout over a day is almost impossible.
