也请教个邻里相处的问题

话不好听, 但是实话. 有了这种孩子, 不管你自己有多了不起, 都会被人将自尊踩在脚底下. 时间长了, 也就麻木了.

nobody deserves that.

DoMyBest might be right if it's in China. I havn't seen it happens in Canada.

Go to Autism Ontario in Ottawa and ask parents there, they will tell you exactly what I said. I talked to many parents who have autism children. They are struggling with schools, with neighbour, with community. Although it is better here than in China, but...

For example, an autism boy who needs friends to improve his social skills (this boy is a little silly, no other behaviors), the mother invited some friends kids to come over to play, but the friends would find out various reasons to say "no". After several times, the mother stopped trying.

I wonder if anyone knows how many Chinese families have autism kids in Ottawa. They need help!!!

This is exactly why you shouldn't say "这种家庭得的白眼太多了, 已经麻木了, 再多一次也无妨. "

你家的房子有没有不朝后院的房间呢?

Tell you a true story: my kid's class has one boy was slow, silly, you can tell from his face. He gets the most care from the teachers. My kid has no issue playing with him, like playing with other kids. Children do not have so many biase as adults. within a few months, I can tell the boy is happier bcz everyone try to make him be in the loop.

Tell you a true story: a boy with autism got bites on his back at school. He was pushed to mud, hit on nose...The parents had asked school to set up a buddy program for the boy, but the school never did it. Another boy in the same school stays by himself all the recesses and no one helps him.

AUTIAM AND BULLY is a big concern within autism families.

I know some schools are doing better job, but not all the schools. The school is complaining about budget cutting and short of teachers...

When you see a child who is silly, weird, googling for no reason, etc...just think that child doesn`t do it on purpose, he or she may has mental disability. When a friend asks your kid to play with their weird kid, providing one opportunity instead of saying "no".

ACCEPT THE AUTISM KIDS WITH YOUR WARM HEART.
