Haven't I told you? If you are young and single, go west young man. The weather, the beaches and lots of pretty girls! Houses now are cheaper than Ottawa! Whatever prediction about US economy, real estate in San Diego will go up in a year or two. And you can find a house with a canyon view less than half a mil.

San Diego is good, nice weather. But everything is relative, the hosuing there is expensive (Toronto is not cheap also). Plus maybe there are more rich people there, and I guess for Chinese food Toronto would be better.

Wrong,. housing in SD is now cheaper than Ottawa especially with the current exchange rate.
No city in North America can beat Toronto in terms of Chinese food but SD is slightly better than Ottawa in that respect.
I am familiar with SD since I spend a lot of time down there in the last few years.

Vancouver's Chinese food not better VS Toronto?

How do you rate one city's Chinese food against another? I would say you have to look at variety, number of top quality restaurants and affordability. There is no doubt in my mind Toronto is better although Vancouver is not far behind.

Yes, because of proximity to the sea, Vancouver has an advantage in that aspect.
