最近报了Algonquin的Graduate Certificate里的Green Business Management和E-publishing这两个专业,都是一年的,前者对我是全新概念,后者和我本科的专业有点挂钩,请问这两个专业哪个更好找工作?哪个以后更有可能进政府?

Some Pro/Con comments:

Green Business Management is definitely a new concept and you will have less competition to find a job from government or private. However, the green standard is not set and business model is not mature, there is a long way to develop yourself and high uncertainty of how it evolves. BTW, one of the professors of Algonquin is the riding of Green Party.

E-Publishing is also new concept but there are a few off the shelf software. It is certain government need people with these skills too. If you learn this course as a concept, I guess it is not very specific but if you want to learn skills, if depends on whether what you learn is marketable.

Thanks for your great comments! A career advisor also said green business definitely has a bright future ahead but still has a long way to go. An one-year graduate certificate may not well-equip myself towards future career, especially when eco-operation is completely new to me.

E-publishing may extend my knowledge and skills from my BA degree in Mass Communication, making it more practical than theoretical. But my real concern is career opportunities and bilingualism in the gov't.

Let's face it, Mass Com. has always been an area where employment is difficult to face. At the grad level, without research achievement or experience, it'll be even tougher.

Neither degree will get you a job easily, but if you do find one it'll be stable.
