石男兄,这都是7,8年前的帖子啦。都时过境迁了。
其实kanata,barhaven的涨幅还是正常的,比mortgage高一点而已。
那些近downtown或canal的旧房,那涨幅很可观的,远超以上2个区域。

600k for a 2800 sqft house on 0.5 acre land in qc, it's very very expensive. :)
you should be looking for a 3500sqft house on at least 2 acre treed land if it was a few years ago:)

I donot think so.

The Assessment of City Hall last year(actuall year of 2007-2011) while I purchased is 550k, this year value of assessment comes to 600k already.

Maybe you are talking about some other areas in QC not here the North of Ottawa.

老大,不是每个人都有精力和财力参与v和t的地产投资的。
大多数这里的人,买房自住,但同时也希望房子能增值,至少beat cpi,甚至mortgage rate。
买在kanata和barhaven,至少转手方便,交易热络,同时离上班也近。同胞在这里抱团取暖,不错的。
你没看到在“我爱我家”上卖房的有不少魁省的房子,又便宜,又好,但就是要很长时间才能卖掉。
你假如有kanata或barhaven的房子,一般都能1-2月之内卖掉。这是一大优点。

people will buy a million dollars house in centrepoint, but for other people, they would like to buy million dollars house with a bigger land and a little farther away from city. You got so much money to spend, why to care how far you have to drive to downtown, especially drive to work? :)

1st of all, I'm not that rich.:crying::crying:

2nd, I do not want to live far away from Downtown 'cause we need to go to China Town to see see several times each week , right?

3rd, I love land, especially donot like to have a lot of 33’(like those old properties in Downtown) or under 50'(like in some newly developed communities), but also do not want to spend all my times on caring a huge land; otherwise we will be farmers or become slaves of farmers???????????

大哥,大多数人是不能承受房产暴跌的。
因为,大多数人是贷款购房的,一旦跌掉downpay的value,那将是一场灾难,会骑虎难下的。就像现在美国一样。
你的case是个案,鉴定完毕。:D
